You mean blow off valve. That is what makes the chirping sound. A waste gate just regulates the amount of psi the turbo is allowed to make.

He has got an extrenal wastegate. It isn't the chirping noise, but the whooshing noise when the car is on boost, I think it sounds aggressive mostly because the car becomes incrediblely loud!

Ok gotcha. I personally like just the sound of the turbo spooling, but i like diesel so that could be why

I think everyone likes turbo spool. Everytime I hear a semi, I always enjoy listening to their turbos.
